Freedom Over Texas in Downtown Houston
For the grand, big city experience, Houston's flagship celebration returns to Eleanor Tinsley and Sam Houston parks on Saturday, July 4 from 3 to 10 p.m. This year's lineup is headlined by country star Keith Urban, with Collective Soul and Los Lonely Boys also taking the stage, plus a new Futbol Park nodding to Houston's World Cup summer. The night closes with a fireworks finale over Buffalo Bayou at dusk. Katy Freedom Celebration at Typhoon Texas

New home sales falter
New home sales fell 13% month-over-month in May to an annualized pace of 580K new homes sold. That's the 2nd-slowest pace of sales we've seen in nearly 4 years. The key issue is affordability: median new home prices are around $425K, and mortgage rates are in the mid-6% range.
